Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan
Of course, Bhangarh fort should be placed on the top ghost haunted places in India, right. You might have listened to the story behind it. Never mind, I tell you again. This place is even approved haunted by the Archaeological Survey of India. There are two tales behind it, one is of an evil wizard and another one is of a saint. The first one is of Baba Balnath who told Man Singh not make a building whose shadow cast on his house. Everyone agrees on this, but Ajab Singh made one tier more above the palace and as a result, the palace shadow reached over the house of Baba and he cursed for that.
Another tale, the wizard fell in love with the princess who was seriously pretty. To win her love he exchanged her perfume with a magical one so that when she applied it, she will also fall in love with him. Fortunately, the queen came to know about his plan and break that bottle. While dying he cursed the fort with destruction. From that incident, it is believed that several souls were roaming around the fort in dark.
Agrasen ki Baoli, New Delhi
Once it was a deepwater well, with several steps built. Being a well it is nothing but now being a shelter for many pigeons and bats. It is believed that once the well was filled with black water and attracted many visitors and drove them to death. While going down, you may hear your footstep because the place has too much silence in it, you can easily hear the sound of bat and pigeon. Some of the visitors were also reported that they were followed by someone. But, no one could see behind when seen turned, is it true or-or just a fear of people, well this can only get by the visiting there.
Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad
This is another one haunted places in India situated in a beautiful city Hyderabad. Many of the film-stars have been witnessed here being possessed. According to the witnessed it is reported that they have seen spotlights falling off, the lights men were pushed from the back, the female told their clothes were torn in a mythical force also they get locked from inside. Many of the crew members have severe injuries.
Kundanbagh Witches’ Lair in Hyderabad
Again, a Spooky place in India- house in Hyderabad where the story speaks of a thief, who broke into a double-story house in Kundanbagh and discovered 3 dead bodies of the owner. The death was roughly 3 months prior to the break-in. The neighbors have claimed that they have seen the mother with her two daughters walking on the balcony and lighting candles in the house at midnight, even until a day prior to the discovery of their dead bodies.
Fernhill Hotel, Ooty
Did you remember the Horror movie ‘Raaz’? Fernhill Hotel at Ooty was the set and it was really a spine-tingling experience for its spectators. But there was more horrifying happened behind the scene. The cast and crew were the witnessed of this place. Actress Bipasha Basu said that once Sarojji and troupe checked in there at late night. They were kept awake by someone rearranging the furniture in the room above. The dancers who had early an early morning shoot tried calling reception but the phone was dead.
One of them went down to complain, the receptionist escorts them outside and showed that there is a floor above. Many more unusual events happened to post this incident and since then the hotel has been closed down.
Kuldhara in Rajasthan
Kuldhara has its unique spooky tales. A village located near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan has been abandoned since 19thcentury. Established by Paliwal Brahmins in 1291, that are known for their business acumen and agricultural knowledge. The tales go like this that Salim Singh, who was the minister of state, fall in love with the chieftain’s beautiful daughter. He always threatened all the villagers of huge taxes. One night all people of Kuldhara and 83 nearby villages vanished all of sudden. It is also said that the villagers, before leaving cursed the village that no one could ever inhabit the land.
Grand Paradi Towers, Mumbai
Although, it is a residential building, located in Malabar Hills, Mumbai. As per the reports, a flat located on the 8th floor was the site of a series of suicides even resulting in the death of three generations of one family that reside there. The building society has recorded about 20 cases of fatal accidents and suicides since the building constructed in 1976. Apparently, the people living in the society decided to do a puaj and a havan to stop all these things and after that, the incidence stopped and the flat still remains unoccupied.
Tunnel No. 33, Shimla
Tunnel No.33 in Shimla is one of the most haunted places which is Kalka-Shimla train route. Well, the tunnel is haunted by a very friendly ghost of Captain Barog, who was a British engineer and was in charge of building this tunnel but failed to build it. He killed himself out of humiliation and his spirit is rumoured to roam in the tunnel having a friendly conversation with the people those who see him. Some people also claim to have seen a woman screaming and running into the tunnel and then get vanished.
D’Souza Chawl in Mahim, Mumbai
This is also one of the top ghost haunted places in India, D’Souza Chawl. They have been many ghost stories surrounding one particular well in the chawl which is considered to be haunted. The people who reside in the chawl believe that there was a woman who while filling water from the well, plunged to her death since the well was boundary-less. From that moment, the lady of the well’ is said to haunt the area surrounding the well every night. Many witnessed of the white apparition, which people consider to be the lady. Although, people also say that the lady just walks around the area without harming anyone who happens to visit the area.
The Shaniwarwada Fort – Pune
The Shaniwarwada is noted to be the spookiest place in India. The story goes like that one of the very young princes was brutally tortured and murdered by his own family members. Therefore, the spirit of the prince still haunts the fort. The legends say that the supernatural activities increase in the full moon day. The people around the fort claimed of the hearing boy screaming for help. Well, it is advised to visit the fort before sunset.
