Today, as the world is growing day by day people are trying to open many unknown things around and deep from the earth using new and developing technology. Every year, scientists explore new regions and find new creatures under the sea. But still, there several unknown and unseen creatures in the deep sea. Where most of them have not been explored yet and it is possible that another world can be found in deep seas which have countless plants and sea creatures.

| Most Unusual Deep Sea Creatures |
The newly discovered deep-sea creatures looked horrible, creepy and so weird. Well, not all the creatures are cute like clownfish or as playful as a dolphin. Here I have made a list of some weird and most unusual deep sea creatures. Let’s have a look.
1. Pelican Eel
The Pelican Eel can be 80 cm in length. It has a translucent organ in its tail and has a prolonged body and then the Gulper Eel can be found in the middle of the ocean water of tropical and temperate seas in the whole world.
2. Pacific Blackdragon
There is a difference in length of male and female Blackdragon. The male is brown in color and having a length of 8 cm which has no teeth, chin barbell and even stomach. As the male Blackdragon can’t eat so they depend on their mate. Whereas, the female has a length of 61 cm, have a chin whisker which is a long and fang-like tooth. To hunt its prey, female uses her bright lure to get the prey within range, that strikes with her mouth full of long teeth.
3. Football Fish
This unusual deep sea creature is a part of the deep sea anglerfish family Himantolphidae. Their species are characterized by their strange looks and the extreme difference between male and female. The females can extend to over two feet in length while the males can grow to about an inch and a half.
4. Glass Squid
The Glass Squid can be found in the deep middle of the ocean. The creature has its eye and a bioluminescent light organ on its bottom to help camouflaged and see. It is the combination of sun-lit water and their complete transparency make the species amazingly camouflaged.
5. Grenadiers
This fish increased levels of smelly chemical compound TMAO which makes this creature moist and strange looking when out of the water. To find their live prey these unusual deep-sea creatures swim slowly over the seabed using their long faces to search for food.
6. Viperfish
Viperfish have fangs that curve back to the fish eyes and do not fit inside its mouth. This creature uses its sharp teeth to catch its prey by swimming and colliding with it at high speed. A long dorsal spine that is tipped with a light producing organ called photophore is one of the other interesting features that make it unique.
7. Fangtooth
This marine creature considered as one of the most dangerous creatures that can be found in deep waters of the oceans worldwide. Fangtooth is known as Anoplogaster Cornuta and its name itself has been derived from its features. This creature is considered having the largest teeth under water when taken in proportion to its body size. Hence it is an uncommon and ridiculous appearance, so this was also called as “Ogre Fish”.
8. Megamouth Shark
Megamouth Shark, as per its name has a huge mouth with a bulbous head and protruding jaw. This unusual deep creature has average weighs about 750kg that is about 1650lb and 4.5m in length. A dark triangular mark can be found at the base of the throat and white marks on the tip of fins and mouth. Moreover, some female Megamouth Sharks have been measured at 5 m long as well.
9. Giant Isopod
Giant Isopod is for sure is one of the unusual deep sea creatures. The Isopod family is said to be the largest known member and the Giant Isopod is included in the nine members of genus Bathynomus and also known as Bathynomus Giganteus.
10. Ocean Sunfish (Mola Mola)
Well, this very unusual sea creature is fond of eating algae, small fishes, and gelatinous zooplankton. Ocean Sunfish can be found in all oceans with tropical and temperate climate and this kind of fish is known as the largest bony fish worldwide. The length of the Ocean Sunfish can reach up to 11ft that is fin tip to fin tip and it weighs nearly about 3000lbs.
