So, starting with a beautiful day, I am again present with the new topic that is “Top 13 Greatest Waterfalls In The World”. I am sure You all have seen waterfalls, they so pleasant to watch that we can see them continuously without blinking our eyes. I Enjoy waterfalls very much – What about You?


Well, today we will discuss some of the great and tall waterfalls that really amazing. You will be amazed by reading them down that how tall and great they are. Just see the geographical features which exemplify the beauty and power of nature. Here are the world’s amazing waterfalls.

1.     Yosemite Falls (United States)


Yosemite Falls is said to be the tallest waterfall in the United States. It drops down from the cliff side in three falls which provides an eye-catching view from many locations. Visitor’s all day becomes so challenging hike to the top of the panoramic landscape of this majestic park. The preferable time to enjoy Yosemite’s splashing water is in the springtime after winter gets light.

2.     Dettifoss (Europe)


The amazing thing about this waterfall is the volume of water that shoots out over the edge. Dettifoss waterfall is located on the Northeast island in the Vatnajökull National Park. This waterfall can be viewed either on the side of the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum. Basically, this river feeds the waterfall and throw into the canyon below. Tourist gets the facilities like to park the car, but at the tourist season, the slippery paths can get crowded.

3.     Plitvice Waterfalls (Croatia)


Plitvice Lake National Park is the oldest and the largest National Park in Croatia. This one of the beautiful waterfalls makes the amazing view because its link to the 16 lakes in the National Park. One Among the largest waterfall in the world, situated in the forested hills near Bosnian border. This water garden creates from the combination of the small streams, lakes, and waterfalls invites exploration.  The most amazing thing is that visitors can enjoy this park by foot, boat rides etc.

4.     Jog Falls (India)


Jog Fall drops down from the height of 253 m which is one of the greatest waterfalls in India. During the other season and you see a thin layer of water string falling from this and is unrecognizable. But during the rainy season, it gets a life and gets volume and height too. It’s quite pleasant to watch this fall from the distance.

5.     Huangguoshu (China)


Huangguosh waterfall is 101 m wide and 77.8 m high. It is one of the greatest waterfalls i9n Asia. Do you know that Huangguoshu links a  group of 18 waterfalls? There is one naturally formed cave so visitors can view waterfall at a very close distance and even they can touch the water also.

6.     Gullfoss (Europe)


Gullfoss or Golden Falls is the magnificent waterfall on the White River. It is one the most famous tourist attraction which is 32 meters high. In summer you may see much volume in the fall because of regular rains and melting glacial runoff.

7.     Detian Falls (Between China and Vietnam)


One among pretty waterfalls, Detian Falls is the fourth largest cross-border falls after the Niagara Falls. Because of the conflicts between the two countries, the area has been opened for tourism now. Before that, there was no location for tourists to watch this amazing beauty of nature.

8.     Blue Nile Falls (Ethiopia)


This Blue Nile Fall categorized under the biggest waterfall in the world. This place is one of the most popular tourist attractions. But today much of the water has been diverted to the power dam. Still, the site is awesome to watch.

9.     Kaieteur Falls (Guyana)


Located on the Potaro River and the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Situated in the center of the rainforest of Guyana. It is 226 meters high and five times higher than Niagara Falls. Although there are many greater falls, in which some have volume and few have height.

10.  Angel Falls (Venezuela)


It is believed that Angel Falls is the world’s greatest waterfalls that drop from over 978 meters from the edge of the Auyan Tepuy. As this waterfall is situated in an inaccessible jungle that can only access to Canaima National Park. So you can only reach there by air.

11.  Niagara Falls (Canada)


We all know Niagara Waterfall which located between the two cities that is  Ontario and New York. It actually consists of three different waterfalls namely– American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Consider among the greatest waterfalls is visited by over 14 million tourists every year.

12.  Victoria Falls (Zambia)


Victoria Falls is located between Zimbabwe and Zambia. It has been reported that this Waterfall called the largest waterfall in the world. But it’s neither highest nor wide says 108 meters with the width of 1.7 Kilometers. Can Say roughly twice the height if Niagara Fall of North America.

13.  Iguazu Falls (South America)



Iguazu Fall is the greatest waterfalls in the world as it consists about 275 falls along with the Iguazu River. It is located on the border of Brazil and Argentina. This fall has a height of 82 meters and width over 2700 meters.
