Sachin Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He started his cricket career at the very early age of 16, where he stunned everyone on the playground through his playing. Sachin has achieved a number of records on his name.

Early Life
Sachin is the son of Ramesh Tendulkar, who was a famous novelist and his mother Rajni Tendulkar worked as a life insurance professional. His father kept his name as ‘Sachin’ on his family favorite music director Sachin Dev Barman. They're 4 siblings, he was the youngest of all- elder brother named Nitin and Ajit, also has one elder sister Savita.

Cricket Journey
At the age of 15 years, he played his first debut in December 1988 playing a domestic cricket and scored a century for Bombay. After 11 months, he was selected for playing an international cricket against Pakistan and were famously declined medical assistance, though getting a hit in the face by Waqar Younis.
Later in August 1990, he makes out 119 runs remaining not out against England. At that time he was just 17 years old and became the youngest cricketer to score a century in a Test cricket. Another rapid century that was celebrated by him in Australia in 1992. He was the first international player to sign with the England Yorkshire club.

He was the leading scorer in the 1996 World Cup and later became the captain of the Indian National Team. Again in the year 1999, took over as captain. Although, overall only 4 matches out of 25 Test matches won by Indian Team under his captaincy.
