Sunitha Upadrashta is a famous playback singer, Television Presenter and Dubbing Artist in a Tollywood Film Industry. She belongs to Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and was born on 10th May 1978. She is a recognized female singer of Telugu and Kannada films. 


Her career began with the movie Gulabi, in which she has given a very romantic song ‘Ee Velalo Neevu’. Besides being a good singer, dubbing artist, she is an Anchor on various channels.

Sunitha has recorded many songs in the Telugu language, along with this, has given the voice for several actresses such as Anushka, Jyotika, Bhoomika, Meera, Charmi, Sonali Bendre, Genelia, Sneha, Tamannaah, Katrina Kaif, Ileana, Trisha, Nayantara and much more. She has started her musical career at the very early age of 3 years and has taken training from Pemaraju Surya Rao in Karnatic Vocal and 8 years soft music from Malaga Krishna Mohan.

Sunitha was invited to TANA (Telugu Association of North America) in 1999 and 2001. At TANA 1999 she was a part of a group with Ramya Krishna, Nagarjuna, and Tabu. At the age of 16, she gave her first Karnatic Classical Musical program in the year 1995 on AIR. She has given about 500 programs in both classical and light music so far in AIR, MAA TV, ETC, Doordarshan, and Gemini TV. Apart from this Sunitha got her first award, when she was 15 years old in 1994 from AIR. With the beginning of TV and movies, her dormant abilities in the music bloomed into flawlessness with fragrance. She has received many Nandi Awards for her talent and also best female playback singer Filmfare awards in her musical career till now.

She is an only child of her parents Upadrasta Narasimha Rao and Sumathi. Her parents are famous to music lovers at Guntur and Vijayawada. At the age of 19 years, she got married to Kiran, who works in media. The couple shared two children together son named Aakash and a daughter named Shreya.
